Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at approximately 10:00 this morning (Friday, August 4th, 2017) at the Valero gas station located at 11402 US Highway 49 in the city of Marmaduke.
Marmaduke Police Officers responded to a disturbance call at the gas station, where two individuals had become involved in a verbal altercation. During the altercation, one individual fired a weapon multiple times outside store, severely injuring the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead.
One person is in custody in connection with the shooting. The investigation is continuing.
