STATE POLICE HIGHWAY PATROL TROOP C GETS NEW COMMANDER: COMMISSION APPROVES DIRECTOR’S PROMOTION

  (LITTLE ROCK) – Arkansas State Police Commissioners today approved the promotion recommended by Colonel Bill Bryant advancing Lieutenant John Carter to the rank of captain.

  Carter will assume command of State Police Highway Patrol, Troop C headquartered at Jonesboro.

  Captain Carter, 52, is a Craighead County native and a twenty five year veteran of the Arkansas State Police.  His most recent assignment has been in the position as assistant troop commander at Highway Patrol Troop B, headquartered at Newport.

  Captain Carter’s new duties at Troop C will be effective immediately.
