The Arkansas State Police Commission has approved the recommendations for promotions of two veteran Arkansas State Troopers. The recommendations were presented today by Colonel State Witt, Director of the Arkansas State Police, during a regular monthly commission meeting.
Sergeant Forrest Marks, 42, of Hot Springs, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and assumes duties as assistant commander of Arkansas State Police, Highway Patrol Division, Troop K.
Lieutenant Marks is an 18 year veteran of the State Police and most recently was assigned to Highway Patrol, Troop K, Garland County as a post supervisor.
Corporal Christopher Waters, 44, of Alma, was promoted to the rank of sergeant and assumes duties as post supervisor in Crawford County, assigned to the Highway Patrol Division, Troop H.
Sergeant Waters is a 12 year veteran of the State Police and most recently was assigned to patrol duties in Troop H.
